Back of book by the editor, Ilana Bernstein:

A renowned television editor, the type who can always predict the “next big thing”, finds herself unemployed in a time of social and financial turbulence. She searches for different roles through which she can fill her newly-empty life, and examines her relationships with those around her. Doing that she discovers that under the successful image she once knew hides a woman exposed, a body with no epidermis. A woman clinging to language, to never-ending inner speech, as a protective shield.
Maayan Goldman‘s debut novel for which she has received the ministry of culture and sports literary prize, is a journey of consciousness, an exploration of the stuff hyper-subjective reality is made of. Women Reclining is written as if under a magnifying glass, hand-made lace writing – writing that tries to grow the protagonist a new skin.

Woman Reclining opens a window to the life of a young woman in the city, coping with her wish to “make it” while surviving a cold, digital world.
